EUROPEAN SCHOOL CLUB

In several hundred primary and
secondary schools throughout Poland young people have the opportunity to
participate in the activities of European Schools Clubs. Our European
School Club is the oldest in town. It was founded in 2002.
The primary
objective of ESC is
-
to
familiarize students with the cultural heritage of Europe, but also to
instill them the responsibility for peace, human rights, and
European security
-
to promote information about Europe,
European institutions and about the member states of community
The club is
supervised by our school teachers: Mrs Dorota Olszewska – a German teacher,
Mrs. Anna Górska – a German teacher and Mr. Wiesław Kosel – an English
teacher.
All students take active roles
in organizing meetings, quizzes on the EU, exchanging experiences with
other European clubs in Poland, gathering information about Poland and the
world, preparing training materials. The club operates under UKIE’s
patronage and receives aid in the form of brochures, leaflets, and other
materials published by the center for European Information.
